Salko Woodsmith project team delivers key packages

During our bulk construction activities, the Salko UK team pulled and installed 12,049mtrs of cable across to phases.

During the past 12mths Salko UK have safely completed numerous complex activities, in challenging locations and to a strict time constraints.

This has culminated in successful project deliverables and 80,266 work-hours accident free at the Woodsmith Mining project in North Yorkshire.

FieldCore renew their Master Service Agreement with Salko.

The Salko Energy team recently renewed the MSA with the FeildCore team, bringing another 3-year term for the Salko EC&I and BOP teams to continue to support FieldCore and GE with their GT26 fleet. Thanks to all parties involved from Salko and GE, and more importantly from the performance of the Salko teams in the field without who’s performance Salko would not have been chosen for the renewal.

Salko UK are pleased to announce the recent domestic installation of 7KW EO Mini pro 2 car charger charging point installed on 15/11/2021, our client wanted his charging unit located near to his vehicle parking location remote from his main dwelling so a stainless steel mounting post was installed with his unit, all ground works was professionally re-instated with a local builder.

Breaking New Ground

Salko’s Mechanical and Electrical team has continued to support the ‘state of the art’ Woodsmith mining operation under construction near Whitby,uk.

This multi-million pound contract has seen Salko deliver on multiple packages including Dewatering, Dust control and Ventilation on the service shaft – critical to the future operational functions of this unique mining site. Salko’s continued focus on delivering beyond the customers expectation and an agile approach will continue into 2021 – and beyond.

Salko Awarded ‘6 Year’ Maintenance Contract

Salko has been appointed to deliver condition reports of the site wide electrical systems on the ‘state of the art’ CCGT power plant at Carrington, near Manchester.

Safety First – Quality Always

Salko was successful in being awarded a contract to supply Quality Surveillance Engineers (QSEs) to ESB Carrington to support with their major overhauls of the Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and Generator.

The QSE’s were embedded in the ESB team for the project, with the support being a success for both parties. Through the diligence of the engineers at least two major quality findings were picked up by the team, which could have led to future shutdown of the units. The team formed an excellent relationship with the onsite ESB team and received praise for their professionalism and vigilance.
